What is The Rainbow Magic: The Festival Fairies series by Daisy Meadows about?

Written under the collective pseudonym Daisy Meadows, these four Rainbow Magic adventures were published in 2020–21. Best friends Rachel and Kirsty join the Festival Fairies to protect four celebrations: Diwali, Hanukkah, Eid and Buddha Day. In each story, naughty Jack Frost steals a fairy’s special magical object, putting the festivities at risk and sending the girls on a rescue mission. With short chapters, illustrations, friendship, teamwork and plenty of gentle fantasy, the series suits children aged around five to eight, especially newly independent readers who enjoy fairies and recurring characters. Mild peril, magical villains and moments of tension feature, but nothing is graphic or frightening.
