What is The Kipper series by Mick Inkpen about?
Created by Mick Inkpen from the early 1990s onwards, the Kipper series follows a gentle, curious dog through everyday adventures, imaginative games and small discoveries. Early picture books introduce Kipper’s personality and friendships, while later titles explore concepts such as colours, counting, opposites, weather and familiar routines. With warm humour and expressive illustrations, the stories suit pre-school children and newly independent listeners, especially those who enjoy animal characters and cosy, recognisable situations. Mild peril, brief fright and lost toys may feature, but nothing is sustained or disturbing.
