What is The Spot series by Eric Hill about?
Created by Eric Hill from 1980 onwards, the Spot series follows a curious young puppy through playful discoveries and everyday adventures. Beginning with the interactive hide-and-seek of Where’s Spot?, the books gradually broaden into stories about family, friends, places, feelings and early learning. Lift-the-flap surprises, repetition and clear illustrations make the series especially appealing to babies, toddlers and pre-school children developing language and confidence. Some stories include mild moments of separation, illness or worry, but these are handled gently and reassuringly.

Eric Hill was a British author and illustrator best known for creating the much-loved 'Spot the Dog' books. His stories about the playful puppy Spot have been enjoyed by children all over the world. Eric Hill loved making books that encouraged children to have fun while reading and exploring new things.
