What is The Toto The Ninja Cat series by Dermot O’Leary about?
Written from 2017 onwards, Dermot O’Leary’s Toto the Ninja Cat series follows an almost-blind, highly skilled cat and her brother, Silver, as they solve animal-world mysteries in London and beyond. Beginning with an escaped king cobra, the adventures grow into international capers involving stolen cheese, hypnotised concertgoers, jewel thieves, wildcats, pirates and sporting rivals. Fast-paced, funny and illustrated throughout, the books suit children aged around 7–10, especially animal lovers and newly confident readers. Mild peril, villains and suspense appear, but violence is non-graphic and reassuring.
