What is The Supertato series by Paul Linnet about?
Created by Sue Hendra and Paul Linnet, the Supertato series began in 2014 and continued with new adventures through 2025. It follows Supertato, a brave supermarket potato, as he protects the vegetable aisle from the mischievous Evil Pea and other unexpected troubles. As the series develops, the cast expands and the stories move through sports days, celebrations, seasonal escapades and imaginative journeys, while keeping the supermarket setting at their centre. With bold illustrations, simple plots and energetic slapstick humour, the books suit pre-school and early-primary children, especially fans of superheroes and silly food jokes.
