What is The Noddy series by Enid Blyton about?

Written between 1949 and 1963, Enid Blyton’s original Noddy books follow a little wooden boy who arrives in Toyland and gradually finds his place there. Across 24 episodic adventures, Noddy makes friends, earns a living, solves everyday problems and encounters helpful and troublesome residents, including Big-Ears, Tessie Bear and Mr Plod. The cheerful, repetitive storytelling suits preschool and newly independent readers, especially children who enjoy talking toys, gentle humour and simple adventures. Older editions may contain old-fashioned language, mild peril and dated attitudes.
