What is The Creaky Castle series by Tony Bradman about?

Written and published between 2007 and 2009, Tony Bradman’s three-book Creaky Castle series follows Tom Bailey, a mischievous boy living with his riotous medieval family. Each adventure escalates from secretly keeping a troublesome pet dragon, to boasting that puts his father in a dangerous joust, and finally trying to avoid stern Squire School during a full-scale castle siege. Fast, comic and medieval in flavour, the books suit readers aged around seven and up, especially fans of cheeky heroes, dragons and slapstick peril. Mild fantasy danger and cartoonish battle scenes feature.
