Written between 2012 and 2019, Nancy Loewen’s The Other Side of the Story revisits familiar fairy tales from surprising viewpoints. Across nine picture books, Baby Bear, the Beast, the Seven Dwarves, a prince, a princess, a witch, a troll and others offer their own versions of well-known events, gradually broadening the series from comic retellings to playful perspective-taking.
