In the cosy broom cupboard of Rose Cottage, Tumtum and Nutmeg, two kind-hearted mice, reside in Nutmouse Hall. Seeing the human children, Arthur and Lucy, living in hardship, they secretly mend their clothes and fix their attic heater. The children believe a benevolent fairy is aiding them. However, when the formidable Aunt Ivy arrives, determined to rid the house of mice, Tumtum and Nutmeg must muster all their courage to protect their home and friends.
