Synopsis

The elephants plan to trick Elmer, the patchwork elephant, by making him believe he's ill. They enlist Snake's help, who secretly informs Elmer of their scheme. Elmer covers himself in mud to appear genuinely sick. When the elephants become concerned, Snake suggests tickling Elmer. As the mud cracks, revealing Elmer's vibrant colours, everyone realises they've all been tricked, including Elmer himself. David McKee was a brilliant British author and illustrator, best known for creating the colourful Elmer the Patchwork Elephant stories. His books are loved by children all around the world for their fun characters and important messages about being unique and accepting others.
