Sophie often watches Mr Jenkins walk his lively Labrador puppy, Buttons, and dreams of having a dog just like her. Buttons loves the outdoors and frequently runs off, even though she knows she shouldn't. One day, Sophie sees Buttons climbing out of a window and thinks she's running away again. But this time, Buttons isn't playing—something is very wrong at home. How can she let Sophie know?
