Charles and Lizzie Peterson adore puppies and often foster those in need. One day, Charles and his friend Sammy hear a puppy's cries from a garage. They discover Patches, a beagle left alone all day. While his owners care about him, they lack the knowledge to care for him properly. Determined to help, Charles and Lizzie set out to teach the owners how to provide the love and attention Patches deserves.
