Synopsis
William and his younger brother, Sprog, are eager to build a tree house in the ancient chestnut tree at the bottom of their garden. Their father, who must work abroad, promises to help by sending monthly parcels containing items for the tree house. As the boys construct their hideaway, they eagerly await their father's return, hoping he'll be home in time to share roasted chestnuts in their completed tree house by Christmas.
