Synopsis
Mia's mother works as a groom at an RSPCA centre, so Mia is familiar with caring for ponies. When Polly, an underweight and frightened pony, arrives at the centre, Mia realises that Polly will need a lot of care and attention. Initially, Polly is too scared to approach humans, but Mia and her mother spend weeks gently nursing her back to health. With Mia's help, Polly learns to trust again. This inspiring story is based on a real-life animal rescue and includes illustrations and facts about ponies and the RSPCA.
