Synopsis

During the escalating dangers for German Jews in 1939, Anna's parents send her to England via the Kindertransport. Settling in Kent, she faces suspicion and bullying, while secretly aiding an injured German soldier. About the author

Helen Peters is a much-loved British author who writes exciting books about life on a farm and adventures with animals. She is best known for her ‘The Secret Hen House Theatre’ series and Anna at War. Helen grew up on a farm, which inspires her wonderful stories full of friendship, courage, and fun.
