Synopsis
In a quiet Cornish fishing village, young Jim discovers a stranded dolphin on the beach. Rallying the villagers, they rescue the dolphin, who stays to play in the harbour, even giving Jim rides. When the dolphin vanishes, the villagers set out to find him, only to be greeted by a joyful pod of dolphins. Their arrival revitalises the village, bringing back tourists, mended boats, and a renewed sense of community.
About the author
Michael Morpurgo is a much-loved British author who has written over a hundred books for children. He is best known for his story 'War Horse', which was made into a play and a film.
