In 1915, young Alfie and his father discover an injured girl on a deserted island in the Scillies. Unable to recall her past, she utters only 'Lucy.' As they care for her, suspicions arise among villagers, fearing she might be a German spy. Amidst the turmoil of World War I, the girl finds solace in music and moonlight, slowly revealing her true identity and the harrowing journey that led her to their shores.
About the author
Michael Morpurgo is a much-loved British author who has written over a hundred books for children. He is best known for his story 'War Horse', which was made into a play and a film.
