Synopsis

Scamp, a discontented dog, envies the attention given to a grand Percheron horse. Seeking change, he visits Zildy, a quirky witch, who transforms him into a whingdingdilly—a fantastical creature. Initially thrilled, Scamp soon realises that being extraordinary isn't as wonderful as he imagined. Through this whimsical adventure, he learns to appreciate his true self and the simple joys of being a dog.

About the author

Bill Peet was a wonderful storyteller and illustrator from America. He worked for many years at Disney, helping to create famous films like 'The Jungle Book' and '101 Dalmatians'. Bill also wrote and drew his own imaginative books, including favourites like 'The Wump World' and 'Capyboppy', which have delighted children for generations.
