What is The Lost Acorns about?

Squirrel carefully marks the place where he has hidden his winter store of acorns with a signpost made from a knobbly stick, a maple leaf and a mushroom. But one by one, the woodland animals borrow the pieces for their own needs. Now Squirrel cannot remember where his acorns are buried! As the animals take turns feeding him, mealtimes become increasingly surprising. When spring arrives, Squirrel finally finds his lost treasure—and discovers that it has grown into a ring of young oak trees.
