At Meadowhall shopping centre in Sheffield, three giant bronze statues honour the city’s steelworkers. Stevie is certain the statues move and speak, but his older sister Jenny is not convinced. Then the children discover that the Steelmen may be linked to workers from Sheffield’s industrial past. As strange events unfold, Stevie and Jenny are drawn into a thrilling time-slip adventure, where the boundary between the present and the dangerous world of the old steelworks begins to disappear.
