What is Willodeen about?
Eleven-year-old Willodeen loves the strange screechers that everyone else in Perchance despises. When fires, droughts and mudslides threaten the village—and the magical hummingbears fail to return—Willodeen begins to suspect that nature is out of balance. With help from her new friend Connor and an unexpected handmade gift, she sets out to uncover the truth. Along the way, Willodeen must find the courage to speak for creatures others fear and discover how every living thing is connected.
