What is A Zoo in Our House about?
After visiting the zoo, a boy decides that having wild animals at home would be marvellous. Soon, a giraffe is munching in the kitchen, a hippopotamus is splashing in the bath, and a monkey is swinging through the hall. A crocodile washes in the garden while a lion settles down in the living room. When all the animals join the family for a party, the house becomes wonderfully chaotic. On Sunday, Mum sends them back to the zoo—but one cheeky gorilla is forgotten.
