What is Pierre A Cautionary Tale in Five Chapters and a Prologue about?
Pierre is a little boy who cares about nothing—not his parents, not his friends, and certainly not what anyone says. His favourite reply is always, “I don’t care!” But when a hungry lion appears and decides to eat him, Pierre’s careless attitude is put to the test. Told in playful rhyming verse and lively illustrations, this funny cautionary tale follows Pierre through a surprising adventure as he discovers that caring about others—and about himself—can make all the difference.
