What is The Great Gulper about?
The Great Gulper is a small brown monster with an enormous appetite for oil. When a tanker crashes off the coast of southern England, a huge oil slick threatens the sea and coastline. But the Gulper may be just the creature Britain needs. Called into action, he gulps down the spreading oil and transforms a frightening disaster into an extraordinary rescue. With playful monster nonsense, a daring mission and an unusual environmental message, this bright picture book celebrates an unlikely hero.
