Eric is a tiny, unusual foreign exchange student who sees the world differently from everyone around him. Quiet and curious, he collects small objects from the ground and explores his host family’s home with gentle wonder. Although they try to share their everyday life with him, they never quite understand what Eric is thinking or looking for. After he leaves, the family discover a remarkable surprise hidden in the pantry, revealing the mysterious beauty of Eric’s imagination and the importance of seeing things from another point of view.

Shaun Tan is an award-winning Australian author and illustrator, best known for his imaginative picture books like 'The Arrival' and 'The Lost Thing'.
