What is Aesop's Fables, Retold by Elli Woollard about?

Eight classic fables spring to life in lively rhyming verse. Meet a boastful hare challenged by a steady tortoise, a town mouse who discovers that luxury can be dangerous, and a boy whose cries of “wolf” bring trouble. Along the way, travellers encounter a bear, a dog learns about reflections, and proud animals discover that appearances can deceive. With clever twists, memorable characters and colourful illustrations, these timeless tales offer plenty of humour while showing the importance of honesty, patience and kindness.
