Twelve-year-old Jung has always feared the ocean, ever since her mother disappeared at sea. So when she flees her island’s traditional Dive, she is desperate to prove she is brave. A violent storm hurls her into a magical underwater kingdom, where a vengeful queen threatens Jung’s home. With help from a mischievous runaway prince, Jung must uncover the secrets of the Dragon Queendom, face the truth about her past and find the courage to save both worlds.

Julia Riew is a writer, songwriter and composer who loves bringing stories to life through books and music. She is best known for creating the musical Dive, inspired by a Korean folktale, and for co-writing the fantasy adventure The Last Tiger with her brother, Brad. Julia enjoys mixing exciting ideas, memorable songs and colourful characters. Her work encourages readers and audiences to imagine new worlds, discover different cultures and believe in the power of creativity.
