What is The Brownie King about?
At a busy station café, a hungry customer calls for the waiter and places an unusual order. But the cakes, plates and other café surprises soon create a muddle, and the waiter has to hurry to keep up. Told in lively, repetitive rhyme, this playful story follows the action from one request to the next. Children can join in with the catchy refrain while practising the long “a” sound and building confidence with simple, patterned text.
