What is Shoo! about?
Cat wants the barn all to himself, so he shouts “SHOO!” at Pig, the piglets, and all the other animals. One by one, they hurry outside, leaving Cat alone. At first, he is pleased with the peace and quiet. But as the animals begin playing and having fun together, Cat starts to wonder whether being alone is really so wonderful after all. A lively farmyard story about selfishness, loneliness, and discovering that fun is often better when shared.
About the author
Michael Rosen is a much-loved British author and poet. He is famous for writing funny and imaginative books for children, including the classic story 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt'. Michael enjoys performing his poems and stories, and he loves to make children laugh and think with his playful use of words.
