What is Cakes In Space about?
Astra’s family is travelling to a new planet, but the journey will take 199 years, so everyone goes into sleeping pods. Astra stays awake and explores the spaceship with her robot friend, Pilbeam. When she asks the food synthesiser to make the ultimate cake, it creates something far more dangerous than dessert: living cakes with sharp teeth. As the ship is invaded by aliens and the cake-creatures run wild, Astra must uncover the truth and save everyone before the voyage becomes a recipe for disaster.
