When Spartapuss is invited to interview at the Imperial Palace, he dresses smartly and proudly wears a shiny Fleagyptian coin. Unfortunately, the coin is cursed and links him to the dangerous new emperor, Catligula. With help from his mysterious friend Tefnut, Spartapuss seeks advice from a psychic mouse and faces a terrifying albino snake. Soon he is caught up in Catligula’s wild schemes and palace intrigues, desperately trying to break the spell before the mad emperor’s plans put everyone in danger.
About the author
Robin Price is a British author who writes funny, adventurous books for children. He is best known for the historical series Spartapuss, Beowuff and The Olympuss Games, which bring the ancient world to life with plenty of jokes and excitement. He also created the graphic novel London Deep, a thrilling story set beneath the streets of London. Robin has worked on stage and screen too, helping turn well-loved stories such as The Gruffalo and Room on the Broom into shows.
