What is A necklace of raindrops and other stories about?

This enchanting collection brings together eight strange and wonderful tales. A girl receives a magical necklace made from raindrops; a giant cat causes chaos; a flying apple pie carries its own piece of sky; and a house stands on one leg. With talking animals, travelling musicians, unusual gifts and wishes that come true, each story leads readers into a world where everyday rules are delightfully overturned. Joan Aiken’s imaginative tales are funny, surprising and gently moral, perfect for sharing aloud or reading independently.
