Yawn
By Patricia Hegarty
One tiny yawn spreads worldwide—but who will be next to catch it?
Genres
What is Yawn about?
One small yawn begins with a little boy, but it soon spreads from person to person. Before long, children and grown-ups everywhere are yawning, along with polar bears, penguins, elephants and even astronauts in space. The sleepy sensation travels across neighbourhoods, countries and continents, growing stronger with every open mouth. As the yawn finally reaches the reader, there is only one thing left to do: snuggle down, close your eyes and get ready for bedtime.
