Once upon a buffalo
By Ken Wilson-Max
How did a wild-haired, charging Buffalo suddenly grow the horns we know today?
Genres
What is Once upon a buffalo about?
Long ago, Buffalo did not have magnificent curly horns. Instead, he had a great mass of wild, fuzzy hair—and a habit of charging at anything that moved. When the other animals grow tired of being chased, they decide to teach him a lesson. But their plan brings an unexpected change, giving Buffalo the horns he is known for today. Inspired by traditional African animal stories, this lively tale explores consequences, cooperation and how animals came to look the way they do.
