What is Clarice Bean: Scram! about?

Clarice Bean’s summer holiday begins with heat, boredom and an argument with her sister over a pair of roller skates. Then a stray dog starts following her, and Clarice decides to hide him from her family while trying to work out where he belongs. Keeping the dog a secret soon leads to mishaps, unexpected responsibility and more trouble than she expected. As Clarice attempts to put everything right, she discovers that one very persistent dog can change an ordinary day completely.
