About the author
W. Awdry was a kind and imaginative author from England who loved telling stories about trains. He is best known for creating Thomas the Tank Engine and his friends in the much-loved Railway Series books. His charming tales have delighted children for generations, bringing the adventures of the Island of Sodor to life.
