Synopsis

Eleven-year-old Ella Durand becomes the first Conjuror to attend the Arcanum Training Institute, a magical school in the clouds where Marvellers from around the world practise their cultural arts. Facing prejudice and suspicion, Ella befriends fellow misfits Brigit and Jason. When the notorious Ace of Anarchy escapes prison, allegedly with a Conjuror's help, Ella becomes the prime suspect. With her friends' support and her growing powers, she must clear her family's name and find her missing mentor before it's too late.
