What is The Emperor's New Clothes about?
An emperor cares more about looking splendid than ruling wisely, and he spends a fortune on a magnificent new suit. Two clever swindlers promise to make clothes so special that only the wise can see them—but the garments are invisible. Afraid of seeming foolish, everyone praises the emperor’s imaginary outfit as he proudly parades through the streets. At last, a child speaks the truth, and the emperor must face the embarrassing reality that he is wearing nothing at all.
