What is The Bomber Balloon about?
In November 1916, Minnie is in trouble for breaking the blackout rules when a German Zeppelin crashes near her home in Essex. The airship’s crew are armed, frightened and desperate to escape before they are captured. Minnie, a local constable and an elderly helper must work together to track them down. But the so-called invaders are not quite the ruthless enemy everyone expects: they are also worried about the damage their bombing may have caused. Based on a strange and true First World War story.
