Will and his brother Marty dread their summer afternoons at the library, overseen by the fearsome librarian Spud Murphy, rumoured to wield a gas-powered spud gun against misbehaving children. Confined to a small patch of carpet, the boys expect boredom but soon discover the magic of books.
