Synopsis

Every night, Herb's mum reads him bedtime stories about big bad wolves. One evening, she forgets to take the book away, and the wolves leap out into Herb's room! With the help of a fairy godmother and some quick thinking, Herb must outsmart the hungry wolves before they make him their supper. A delightful twist on classic fairy tales, this story is filled with humour and adventure.

About the author

Lauren Child is a brilliant British author and illustrator, best known for creating the much-loved Charlie and Lola books. She has also written the Clarice Bean and Ruby Redfort series. Lauren’s stories are full of fun, clever ideas, and lively pictures that encourage children to use their imagination and enjoy reading.
