Amy adores cats and is overjoyed when she discovers a tiny black kitten in her garden. The kitten, whom she names Misty, appears well cared for but lacks a collar. As Misty spends more time with Amy, they form a close bond. However, just as Amy begins to think of Misty as her own, the kitten's real owners come forward, leaving Amy to face the heart-wrenching reality of saying goodbye.
