Alfie, a lively grey deerhound puppy, adores his boy Charlie and their cosy home. When Charlie leaves him with a sitter, Alfie becomes frightened and runs away into the wild. Befriended by kind foxes, he learns to survive but longs to reunite with Charlie. Meanwhile, Charlie tirelessly searches for his dear hound. Will they find each other and return to their warm, familiar kitchen?
