Synopsis
Meg the witch, her cat Mog, and their friend Owl find themselves in a prehistoric cave after one of Meg's spells goes awry. There, they meet Crom the caveman and Og the woolly mammoth, whom Crom plans to eat. Meg, a vegetarian, persuades Crom to try her bubble and squeak instead. Og enjoys it so much that he follows them home for more.

Helen Nicoll was a much-loved British author best known for creating the magical 'Winnie and Wilbur' stories, which she wrote with illustrator Jan Pienkowski. Her books are filled with fun, friendship, and lots of exciting adventures, making them favourites for children who enjoy stories about witches, spells, and a bit of mischief!
