Laura lives by the sea in a Cornish village where her mum manages holiday cottages. When a lively group of teenagers arrives with their King Charles spaniel puppy, Henry, Laura notices they often leave him behind. She offers to care for Henry, and they quickly become close friends. However, as the holiday ends, Laura faces the heart-wrenching prospect of saying goodbye to her beloved new companion.
