What is The Savage about?

After his father dies, Blue Baker escapes into a story about a wild boy who lives in the woods. The savage is fierce, lonely and strangely familiar, and Blue soon finds himself drawn deeper into the tale. When the creature steps out of the story and confronts Hopper, the cruel school bully, Blue’s imagination begins to merge with reality. As the boundary between boy and beast starts to disappear, Blue must face his grief, his anger and the untamed part of himself.
