What is War is over about?
In 1918, John’s father is fighting in France, while his mother works in a dangerous munitions factory. At school, John is told that he is also part of the war against German children. But in the woods, he meets Jan, a German boy his own age, and begins to question everything he has been taught about enemies. As the war draws towards its end, John discovers a glimpse of hope, friendship and a world where peace might finally take root.
