What is Don't Forget the Bacon about?

A young boy heads into town with an important shopping list from his mother: six farm eggs, a cake for tea, a pound of pears and some bacon. Along the way, he becomes distracted by the sights and sounds around him. As he tries to remember the list, the words begin to change and jumble together, leading to a very muddled shopping trip. Will he manage to bring home everything his mother asked for?
