Simba is born to rule the Pride Lands, but his jealous uncle Scar dreams of taking the throne. After a terrible tragedy separates Simba from his family, the young lion grows up far from home with the cheerful Timon and Pumbaa. When Simba learns that danger threatens the kingdom, he must face his past, find his courage and return to Pride Rock. With help from loyal friends, he discovers what it truly means to be a king.

Elton John and Tim Rice are celebrated British creators who bring music and stories to life. Elton John is a talented composer, pianist and performer, while Tim Rice is a brilliant lyricist who writes words for songs. Together, they created memorable songs for Disney’s The Lion King, including “Circle of Life” and “Can You Feel the Love Tonight”. They also worked together on the stage musical Aida. Their lively, powerful songs continue to delight audiences around the world.
