Daniel Cook and his sister, Beatrice, are sent to stay with the eccentric dragonologist Dr Ernest Drake. Their lessons become dangerous when the Dragon's Eye, a mysterious jewel said to reveal the true Dragon Master, is stolen by the villainous Ignatius Crook. With dragons appearing at every turn, the children must follow clues, survive startling encounters and help Dr Drake recover the precious artefact. But as the enemy closes in, Daniel and Beatrice discover that dragonology is far more perilous than they ever imagined.
